The Art of Zen Arrives at the Green: David Theming Works to Design an Exclusive Oriental-Themed Minigolf in Lleida
Lleida, Spain – February 2026. The city of Lleida is preparing to host one of the most unique and visually striking recreational installations in the country. The specialist company in fantastical architecture and theming, David Theming Works, has been selected to design and execute a new high-end minigolf park. Far from a conventional course, this project is conceived as a sensory journey through the Far East, blending family sport with the mystique and aesthetics of traditional Buddhism.
The Awakening of an Icon: The Great Buddha Head
The central element and soul of the project will be a monumental structure that is already generating excitement in the design sector: a representative Buddha head nearly 5 meters tall.
This piece, sculpted with the realism and precision that characterizes David’s work, will not be a mere decoration. The sculpture will serve as the park’s visual landmark, incorporating architectural elements inspired by the temples of Angkor Wat and the Longmen Grottoes. The weathered stone texture, serene expressions, and integration of artificial vegetation within its reliefs will make visitors feel the majesty of an archaeological site in the heart of Lleida.
A Course of Holes Integrated into the Landscape
Under David’s creative direction, the minigolf course has been designed so that play flows organically among the thematic elements. Each hole is fully integrated into the scenery, avoiding the use of plastic or prefabricated obstacles.

David Theming Works has designed a network of hidden LED lights and scenic spotlights that will bathe the Great Buddha Head and the courses in warm, immersive tones. This lighting will not only allow for nighttime play but will also transform the park into a contemplative garden, highlighting the shadows and reliefs of the sculptures to create an atmosphere of peace and mystery.
